Lets start with XAMPP installation:

What is XAMPP..?

It is a free software to run Apache Service on your windows machine. XAMPP will help you host some local websites in your LAN. With the help of XAMPP you will be able to control some services like apache, MySQL Server, Perl and PHP with administrator privileges.

When you look into it each of the letter identify its features;

XAMPP (X-Cross Platform A-Apache M-MySql P-PHP P-Perl)        

 

Note: Before installation please make sure that you have installed MySQL Server on your system.

I hope you have downloaded XAMPP now you double click on the file.

-Select your preferred language

-If you are a Windows User you must be getting a Warning POP of UAC – User Access Control. Click OK to continue the installation

-In the Set Up wizard click Next.

-Choose all components from the appeared box and Click Next

-Click Install and after installation click on Finish

You will be asked for to open XAMPP Control Panel, click YES

Start Apache and MySqlServer Services from the box.Once you click YES it will start installing Apache Services. Later on the Red Cross mark will appear as Green cross mark.

Go to browser , type http://localhost it will show you a page.

This means we have successfully installed and started Apache and MySQL Server Services in your Windows LAN network.
